TOGETHER WITH DEMENTIA

Do you care for someone with dementia?

Do you find it difficult to go out or have time for yourself?

Do you worry about leaving the person you care for on their own?

Together With Dementia can help.

We offer a Sitting Service, where a trained person stays with the person

you care for, giving you time to do the things you need.

Together with Dementia can tailor the visit to meet individual needs.

We can plan to do activities with the person you care for, take them out if they

would like, or simply have a chat and keep them company while you are away.

Our staff are DBS checked and can meet with you (prior to a booking)

so you can feel at ease, knowing the person you care for is happy while you are out.

If you would like any more information, please don't hesitate to give us a

call  and see how we can help you.

We provide a friendly sitting and support service specifically for people living with dementia and their caregivers.

Supporting a family member through dementia brings unique challenges. If you struggle to find time for your own wellbeing or worry about leaving them unattended, Together With Dementia is here to support you.

Our professional Sitting Service provides an experienced companion to stay with your loved one, allowing you the personal time you deserve.

Each visit is specifically designed for the individual. Whether it is participating in a favourite pastime, enjoying the outdoors together, or sharing a calm conversation and a cup of tea, we adapt our approach to match their specific interests.

We welcome the chance to meet you before any visits start, to ensure you are entirely comfortable knowing your family member is relaxed, safe and supported.

Support for People Living Alone with Dementia

We also offer one-to-one visits for people living alone with Dementia. These visits provide companionship, conversation, activities, helping to reduce loneliness while promoting independence and well-being.

Whether it's sharing a cup of tea, reminiscing over photographs, going for a gentle walk or simply spending time together, each visit is tailored to the individuals interests, ability and routine.

We can also assist with things like shopping or going to appointments.

Our aim is to provide friendly, reliable support that helps people remain connected to their community and continue living independently for as long a possible.

Support with Residential Care Transitions

Moving a family member into a permanent care facility is a profound life transition often filled with complex emotions.

Our dedicated team provides compassionate guidance throughout this process. We can help you evaluate local care options and accompany you on visits to offer professional insights and a supportive perspective.

Our support continues well beyond moving day. Our Support Workers can maintain regular visits to your loved one in their new residence, easing their adjustment through the comfort of a familiar presence.

This provides you with essential peace of mind, knowing a reliable companion is there to offer personal attention and support.

This continuity of support allows you to focus on your own well-being, confident that your relative is seeing a friendly and familiar face if you are unable to make a visit.

(If your family member is already in a care home and would benefit from extra companionship, please reach out to us)

Personal Care

Our focus is on providing meaningful companionship, activities and supportive visits that help people feel connected, valued and engaged.

As we are not a personal care service, we are unable to provide assistance with aspects of personal care, including toileting, washing, dressing or continence support.

Anyone we visit will need to be able to manage their own toileting needs.

We are always happy to discuss individual circumstances to see whether our service is the right fit.

Our aim is to provide the best possible experience while ensuring everyone receives the appropriate level of care and support
